It all started with an idea many years ago..

Lobster.com.au started as an idea more than ten years ago, when our founder was working as an Engineer on trawlers in the Gulf of Carpentaria.

He watched the best seafood get bought by the export market and he believed that if Australian customers were given the chance, they'd happily purchase Australian seafood before purchasing seafood from overseas.

A few years later he had the opportunity to register the name lobster.com.au, because he believed that one day the internet would provide the very mechanism he needed to match Australians to the premium export grade seafood he already knew Australia produced.
